Antietam National Battlefield, Sharpsburg, MD, in the early morning fog can be a bit creepy and sometimes makes my skin crawl. But, it is a place of quiet solitude and hallowed ground that I enjoy wandering and contemplating.
In early Fall we get dense ground fog her in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I headed out at 5am to Antietam National Battlefield to check on the Poffenberger Farm. It was eerily quiet and with the fog shrouding the fields and farm I could feel the spirits of the soldiers who fought and died here. And so, I named this "Take Care".
